It appears that the Farnborough airshow in the UK will be held at its traditional 'home' for the foreseeable future, thanks to successful discussions between the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC) which runs the show and the airfield's new operator, the TAG Group of Switzerland.
When the British Ministry of Defence was selling the airfield, doubts were voiced about the show's long-term future at the site.
However, news of this agreement have scotched rumours of a move to another location in southern England.
Speaking at Asian Aerospace yesterday, SBAC director general David Marshall said the society was delighted that TAG wanted to see the show remain at Farnborough.
