It is an expression which says that Farnborough '98 can top the record-beating event two years ago which saw $12 billion worth of business announced.
Society of British Aerospace Companies director general David Marshall is clearly in an upbeat mood as he tries out the seat of Tiger Moth Tango Victor, here to help Farnborough celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Both major civil aircraft manufacturers are expected to announce actual or potential multi-billion-dollar orders at Farnborough. Airbus Industrie is expected to announce $3 billion worth of orders from Emirates and International Lease Finance (ILFC), while there is speculation that Boeing may throw light on its progress with customers on the Boeing 717 project.
Bombardier has already announced orders worth $700 million plus and Embraer is poised to announce a major order.
