FOKKER CONTROL Systems (FCS), the Netherlands manufacturer of electric control-loading and motion systems for simulators, has been acquired by Fokker Space. FCS was part of bankrupt Fokker Aircraft. Fokker Space is an independent company not affected by the collapse of the Netherlands' aircraft-manufacturer, says FCS.
Schiphol-based FCS produces the E-Col family, of electric control-loading systems and in 1995 introduced the E-Cue motion system, using electric actuators. Fokker Space is Europe's leading supplier of spacecraft solar-arrays, with 450 employees and a Dfl 200 million ($120 million) turnover.
