Gamma bursts

The Stretched Rohini Satellite, SROSS C2, launched by the Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle on 4 May, 1994, has been used successfully to "...detect 12 gamma ray bursts in the Universe", according to the Indian Space Research Organisation.
