Hawker Pacific has brokered a deal with Abu Dhabi Aviation for 10 Bell 525 Relentless helicopters.

In a statement, Hawker Pacific says that a letter of intent has been signed between Bell and Abu Dhabi Aviation. It is the first commitment for the new type in the Middle East.

“This deal is a testament to the strength of our relationship with Abu Dhabi Aviation – one that is founded on trust and results,” says Hawker Pacific chief operating officer Paul Giles.
“Hawker Pacific and Abu Dhabi Aviation have been doing business together for many years and we understand Abu Dhabi Aviation’s needs on a fundamental level.”

Abu Dhabi Aviation is a major user of Bell’s products, with over 38 Bell 412s and 212s in service. It uses them for missions such as offshore oilfield support, emergency medical service, VIP transport, fire fighting, and search and rescue.

The super-medium Bell 525 is set to enter flight testing later this year. The fly-by-wire type can accommodate 16 passengers and two crew.
