Indian Airlines has selected the Airbus A320 family over the Boeing 737 for a fleet modernisation after years of studies. The airline is seeking approval from the government to order up to 43 aircraft.
Indian Airlines has 33 A320s and seven A300B2/B4s, while subsidiary Alliance operates 11 737-200s.
