Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and the Israeli government yesterday reached agreement at the show for a batch of "more than 50" additional Lockheed Martin F-16I aircraft.
It was reported earlier this month that Israel was in the process of finalising negotiations for 52 F-16Is, firming up options dating back to 1999 under the Peace Marble V programme. In a statement issued late yesterday afternoon, the Israeli defence ministry said that deliveries of the aircraft would run from 2006-9.
