Rafael Armament Development Authority chairman Jacob Toren is to replace Amos Yaron as director general of the Israeli defence ministry, following a clash with the USA over a deal to upgrade Harpy offensive unmanned air vehicle systems for China. Toren has previously been general manager of Israel Aircraft Industries’ MBT division and president of Elop.
