It was comforting to read of the attention being given to the well-being of crew members on long-range flights. But it would have been more comforting to have read of the considerations being paid to the comfort of the masses back in the "cattleclass".

Taking my cynicism to new depths provokes a suggestion for consideration. Most advertisements by airlines highlight the comforts available for the "higher-class passengers" and many times we read - from the same airlines - how little profit they make from carrying "the rabble".

Why not stop carrying "us despicable creatures" altogether. Just think of the leisure areas, wellness centres etc that the airlines could provide for the higher-class passengers and for the crew members.
