Litton Industries of Woodland, California, has appointed John Leonis chairman and Michael Brown president. Leonis takes over the chairmanship from Alton Brann, who remains on Litton's board as chairman of the executive committee. Leonis retained his post as chief executive, but relinquished his responsibility as president to Brown. Brown, who had been executive vice-president, chief operating officer and director, continues as chief operating officer and director, as well as president. Charles Hoffman, president of Litton's Amecom division, has been elected vice-president and appointed president of the company's Applied Technology division at San Jose, California. Hoffman replaces Clayton Williams, who has resigned from Litton and will assume an executive post in Western Atlas.
