The English High Court has rejected a claim by Kuwait Airways against Lloyd's of London for the remainder of the costs arising from its loss of $942 million in aircraft and spares to the Iraqis during the Gulf War. Local insurers paid out $300 million, but the risk was reinsured with Lloyd's of London and the carrier sued it for the balance.
