Raytheon has signed a teaming deal with Israel's Rafael to market and manufacture the Black Sparrow air-launched ballistic target. The partnering arrangement provides Rafael with a US distributor. Black Sparrow - developed from the AGM-142 Have Nap/Popeye air-to-surface missile - is used for testing anti-ballistic missile defence systems and mimics the flight profile of the SS-1 Scud missile.
