EUROCOPTER IS offering a higher-powered version of its AS565 Naval Panther helicopter, fitted with two Turbomeca Arriel 2C turbo-shafts instead of the earlier Arriel 1M1 engines.
The new power plants, offer 90kW (120hp) more continuous power, than the 560kW Arrius 1M1. The 2C also offers an additional 25kW take-off power and up to 145kW extra maximum military power, over the older engine.
The helicopter is offered in two versions - the AS565MB maritime transport and search-and-rescue variant and the AS565SB designed for surveillance and air-to-surface warfare.
