General aviation pilots in Australia will be provided with additional educational materials to help avoid a repeat of an incident last December when a Boeing 737 almost collided in mid-air with a light aircraft.
However, the country's aviation regulators have decided against making changes to the country's National Airspace System (NAS).
Details on the appropriate air traffic control frequencies and instrument flight rules will be included on relevant visual charts used by general aviation pilots, who will also get additional training and education, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has announced.
