Russian air force commander Gen Vladimir Mikhailov say the military is strongly opposed to development of the RSK MiG-110 tactical transport, which lost to the Ilyushin Il-112VT in a recent competition. "The country does not have the resources to pursue two similar designs. The air force will allow only one aircraft to be developed," he says. Other losing bidders in the fight to replace the Antonov An-26 were the Sukhoi S-80 and a Tupolev design.
