US lessor Azorra has signed for 20 Embraer E2 jets and taken purchase rights for 30 more of the type.

Deliveries to the Florida-based lessor, which earlier this month signed for 22 Airbus A220s (including a pair of ACJ TwoTwenty business jets), are set to begin in 2023.

The Brazilian manufacturer, in announcing the order today, says the flexible deal enables Azorra to acquire E190s or E195-E2 jets.

Azorra already has a portfolio including 21 Embraer aircraft.

The lessor’s chief executive John Evans says: ”We are excited about this new chapter in our longstanding partnership with Embraer. This commitment underscores our belief in the E2; a modern aircraft family with superior economics and environmental performance, providing Azorra with a compelling opportunity to build a position of leadership in the markets we serve.”
