The RAF has ordered 15 Capris 50 UV laser wire markers specially designed for low volume manufacture by Spectrum Technologies. The systems, worth around $1.5 million, will be installed on several RAF bases and will replace existing but outdated hop stamp technology. Mike Dash, Spectrum Technologies sales and marketing director, says the quick lead time to get the product into the market has resulted in sales greatly exceeding expectations.
