UK ad hoc charter carrier British World Airlines has gone into receivership after its aircraft lessors ran out of patience on 13 December. Two of its customers collapsed recently, leaving it with close to £1 million ($1.4 million) of debts, and the company was unable to solve its cash flow problems. The airline operated six BAe ATPs, three Boeing 737-300s and one 757-200 out of London Southend airport.
