Sir - In the article "Reasons for being" (Flight International, 24-30 January, P25), you wrote about the NATO engagement in Bosnia, discussing the threat and, in particular, the associated suppression of enemy-air-defence missions.
Although you mention the various US and UK assets, you do not refer to the French Transall C.160 Gabriel signals-intelligence aircraft, nor to the ASTAC electronic-warfare reconnaissance pod fitted on the Dassault Mirage F.1CR, the contribution of which has been highly significant.
