Elisra (Hall 1, E1) is looking to build on its UK alliance with Ferranti and MASS by creating a UK subsidiary. The company's helicopter self-Protection systems are currently being aimed at a number of UK Ministry of Defence programmes. The company was selected in 2000 to provide its SPS-65 radar warning receiver and laser warning system for the delayed RAF Boeing Chinook HC3 special forces helicopter. Now it is shortlisted with BAE Systems to provide the self-protection system for the Battlefield Light Utility Helicopter (BLUH) and Surface Combatant Maritime Rotorcraft (SCMR) Future Lynx proposals.
