The US Federal Aviation Administration has issued the Sikorsky S/H-92 helicopter a type inspection authorisation allowing regulatory authority pilot and engineers to start flying and begin the final process of certification. The company hopes to receive FAR 29 type certification by the end of the year and begin delivering helicopters in early 2004.
