Singapore Airlines (SIA) has confirmed a follow-on order for 18 more Boeing 777s in a move that will eventually take its fleet to 77 of the type, making it the largest customer for the twinjet. The deal for the 18 777-300ERs, powered by General Electric GE90-115B engines, is worth $4.1 billion at list prices. SIA says the 777s will replace some of the airline's 29 747-400s.
