The UK Defence Procurement Agency has issued an invitation to tender (ITT) to six companies bidding to meet a potentially £100 million ($190 million) Project Listener requirement to "find, fix and track" time-sensitive mobile ground targets for the UK armed forces by cross-cueing information from multiple sensors.
BAE Systems, General Dynamics UK, L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin UK, Qinetiq and Raytheon Systems have until 11 January 2007 to respond to the ITT, which was issued on 6 October.
The schedule is a revision of a plan for two bidders to have been selected late this year to conduct parallel risk-reduction studies for the Listener requirement (Flight International, 14-20 March).
