Russian deputy prime minister Dmitry Rogozin expects the second Irkut MC-21-300 test aircraft to fly in late February or early March.
Rogozin, who is in charge of the country's defence industry, says the initial test airframe has completed a total of 33 test flights.
Irkut is progressing with assembly of several examples of the twinjet for the flight-test campaign. The first aircraft had been undertaking tests at the Gromov institute near Moscow.
Rogozin says the manufacturer is aiming to commence serial production of the MC-21, which is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1400G engines, in 2019.
