A group of US airline and corporate pilots has formed an online bidding site called BidQwest, designed for air-taxi operators to bid for charter flight requests. Over 70 air-taxi companies have signed up since the launch of the company. There is no charge for passengers to request bids or for air taxis to make them. Payments are deposited in an escrow account to protect against flight cancellation or the collapse of BidQwest. Safety audits are performed on all operators by Aviation Research Group/US of Cincinnati.
