The German ADAC air rescue service has become the first in the country to take delivery of Eurocopter EC145 medium twin helicopters. It will add two of the type to its 36-strong fleet of aircraft.
With the order, ADAC becomes the third EMS operator of the EC145 since its launch a year ago. The French Securite Civile has ordered 32 aircraft, while the Swiss air rescue organisation REGA is also a customer.
