Three's a crowd

Seven European Union member states are preparing to abolish border controls among themselves in line with the 1990 Schengen agreement. Airports in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands will now classify passengers into three groups - those travelling intra-Schengen, to non-Schengen EU states, and to non-EU countries.
