Boeing subsidiary Alteon Training (Chalets 406 and 165) has selected Thales to supply training equipment for the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Thales will also supply a simulator to assist with the aircraft's engineering development, while Alteon will be Boeing's provider of 787 training, and is working with Boeing to develop courseware and curricula for customers.

Six suites of training equipment will be installed at key training centres in Alteon's global network. Each suite will contain an FAA Level D type full flight simulator (FFS), two brief/debrief stations, a virtual flight training device and classroom training equipment. The simulators will be the first devices for the 787 and the first to be equipped with Thales' new motion system.
