The US Army has selected Lockheed Martin Ordnance Systems to produce Hydra-70 70mm rockets for US military forces. The basic contract is worth $127 million, with a further $28 million in options. Deliveries are due over the next five years if the options are exercised. Prime contractor Lockheed Martin is teamed with Tampa, Florida-based CMS, a Daimler-Benz company. CMS is a long-term supplier of Hydra-70 rocket assemblies.
