It's been 21 years, but the Cat is back. After more than two decades away from Paris, the Northrop Grumman F-14 Tomcat flew into Le Bourget on Tuesday night to prove it still has many of its nine lives left.
Lt Dan Sullivan (right) and Lt Eric Altshuler of the US Navy's VF-31 squadron have flown from their F-14D home base, NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach. The aircraft, equipped with the Lockheed Martin navigation/attack pod system and the Northrop Grumman Advanced Self Protection Jammer, will stay in the static park until the end of the show.
"We are here to say that the cat is back - Felix rules," says Altshuler.
