DATABASE SOFTWARE acquired by the US Air Force's Air Intelligence Agency will enable the organisation to "mine" for data across networks.
The agency has selected enterWorks.com's Virtual DB software for its Sensor Box project, to conduct a proof-of-concept demonstration of a "virtual data-warehousing" capability.
A subsidiary of Herndon, Virginia-based network-technology firm Telos, enterWorks.com says that its Virtual DB software allows data from different sources to be combined and viewed as if from a single database.
The software can access diverse database types both inside and outside the agency, via network, and combine the data collected at the workstation, the company says.
