Sabena and Virgin Express have signed another agreement on joint operation under which Sabena's service from Brussels to Barcelona was taken over by Virgin Express on 14 February. The agreement is similar to the one concluded in October 1996, under which Virgin took over Sabena's Brussels-London Heathrow services, and enabled Sabena to reduce fares on the Brussels-Barcelona route. Meanwhile, Virgin Express will start a new Brussels-London Gatwick service for Sabena by mid-1997.
