With Concorde having flown its last we would do well to recollect, and recognise, the blunder that denied it the success that was its due: that its other flag was the tricolour and not the stars and stripes. US aerospace, ruthless in itself, was and is aided by a government that plays its corner, that enforces international law and cares for the environment when this benefits the USA and US business, that ignores and indeed subverts them when they are disadvantageous.
Forgive, but don't ever forget.
