Nuremburg, Germany-headquartered medical evacuation specialist Flight Ambulance International (FAI) has named Abu Dhabi's Al Bateen Executive airport as its preferred stopover point in the Middle East.

Under the agreement, FAI will base two Bombardier Learjet 60s configured for the air ambulance role at Al Bateen, alongside German medical teams.

A fully equipped air ambulance Learjet 60 can accommodate a medical team, one patient and two patient escorts, and has the capability of carrying critically ill patients between Abu Dhabi and anywhere in the world, says FAI.
