Nordic carrier Air Finland has ceased operations and filed for bankruptcy.

The Helsinki-based airline says all flights have been "withdrawn" as of 26 June.

"We are deeply sorry for this development and the inconvenience to customers," the carrier adds in a brief statement confirming its collapse.

Air Finland started operations in 2003 and used a fleet of three Rolls-Royce-powered 219-seat Boeing 757-200s leased from International Lease Finance.
