Boeing has signed a 10-year deal with UK research agency Qinetiq to use its 5m (16.5ft)-diameter windtunnel in Farnborough. The US company has been the principal user of the pressurised tunnel for several years and will have guaranteed access to over 50% of available test hours. Qinetiq says other clients such as Airbus will still be "encouraged" to use the facility.
