Lockheed Martin and Delft Sensors Systems of Belgium are to co-produce and market the Close Air Support Integrated Targeting System (CITS) used by controllers on the ground to provide targeting data to tactical aircraft. CITS includes an optical sight, electronic compass, laser rangefinder and global positioning system. A similar system, using US-produced components, is in use in Bosnia transmitting data to Boeing AH-64 Apache attack helicopters and Lockheed Martin F-16s equipped with improved data modems.
