The Belgian air force last month delivered the last 13 of 25 stored Lockheed Martin F-16s for disassembly into spare parts, after failing over several years to secure a buyer for the excess aircraft, which have been in storage since the mid-1990s. Air force specialists will dismantle the aircraft at Rocourt, before offering the spares for sale to current F-16 operators.
