Taiwanese carrier EVA Air took delivery of its first Boeing 787 today at Boeing's manufacturing site in South Carolina.

The hand-off of the aircraft – a 787-9 owned by Air Lease – puts EVA on track to begin deploying the type on international routes in November, Boeing says in a media release.

EVA Air has orders for another 23 787s, including three 787-9s and 20 787-10s, according to Flight Fleets Analyzer database.

The carrier intends to lease all four 787-9s and two 787-10s from lessor Air Lease, data shows.

Boeing will deliver the three remaining 787-9s to EVA by early 2019, at which point it will begin delivering 787-10s, with deliveries scheduled to conclude in mid-2021, Fleets Analyzer shows.
