Gulf Technics, the maintenance, repair and overhaul start-up, has turned to Singapore's ST Aerospace to provide parts support for its Airbus rotable components servicing business in Bahrain.

Speaking at the show, ST Aerospace executive vice-president Tan Seow Juay said GT would be able to "leverage ST Aerospace's global network of maintenance facilities and distribution centres" in cities such as Copenhagen, Guangzhou, London, Mobile, Oslo, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore and Stockholm.

Gulf Technics was set up two years ago and is negotiating with another Singapore MRO firm, SIA Engineering, to establish a three-bay maintenance hangar for airframe maintenance at Bahrain International Airport, due to open in 2014.
