UK-based Meggitt has completed its £2.9 million ($5.4 million) acquisition of Canada's Schreiner, a subsidiary of Dutch Schreiner Aviation Group. Schreiner, which had sales of £4 million in the year to 31 December 2003, assembles, services and operates unmanned aircraft and ground and sea vehicles and targets for military training. The new acquisition will form part of Meggitt's Defence Systems and "further enhances the group's position in the worldwide targets market", Meggitt says.
