US motion control specialist Moog has agreed to acquire the Netherlands’ FCS Control Systems, a rival manufacturer of flight-simulator motion bases and aerospace test equipment. The former Fokker unit had sales of $24 million last year.

Both firms supply hydraulic and electric motion systems to simulator makers. Moog customers, including FlightSafety, are moving to electric systems, while FCS has supplied electric motion bases to Boeing and others. FCS is expected to complement Moog’s $26 million in simulation and test product sales.
