Cytec Fiberite are showcasing the latest in structural composites, thermoplastics and adhesives this week. (Hall 3-B4)
The full-scale model Boeing JSF in Hall 1 is perhaps the finest example of their expertise on display. It is constructed of Cytec Fiberite¹s advanced low temperature Cycom 5215 composites, a modified epoxy resin prepreg which can be used on any tooling substrate.
High temperature performance, corrosion resistance and damage tolerance are just a few of the features that can be designed into these inherently lightweight structures. Cytec¹s substances have been in parts on the F117A stealth fighter, the Hughes Sea Sparrow And Bell Helicopter. They also provided composite materials on Richard Noble¹s supersonic Thrust SSC.
