Thomson has strengthened its ties with the European NH90 military transport helicopter and announced new contracts at the show.
The NATO frigate helicopter (NFH) version of the NH90 is to feature the Thomson-CSF identification friend or foe (IFF) interrogators following the signing of contracts between Thomson-CSF and Italian helicopter manufacturer Agusta.
The IFF interrogator is derived from the same family as that already ordered for the Rafale. Eurocopter Deutschland has awarded Thomson-CSF the contract to supply IFF transponders for the tactical transport helicopter (TTH) as well as the NFH versions of the NH90.
Thomson-CSF and Aerostar have also announced the creation of a joint venture company to manufacture and distribute electronic applications.
