SkyWest, the parent of US regional SkyWest Airlines, has agreed to sell the Las Vegas assets of Scenic Airlines to air tour operator Eagle Canyon Airlines for a reported $14 million. The purchase will be completed as soon as Eagle Canyon receives the US Federal Aviation Administration's permission to operate Scenic's 18 de Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otters. Scenic's principal business is providing air tours of the Grand Canyon. The deal does not involve Scenic's Page, Arizona, unit which operates small Cessna and Piper aircraft.
