Singapore Airlines (SIA) has decided to retrofit 11 of its Boeing 777-200s that mostly operate on routes to China and India.

The Star Alliance carrier says the 11 777-200s will be refitted with a new interior that draws on elements from SIA's Airbus A330s, Airbus A380s and Boeing 777-300ERs.

It says the first retrofitted 777 will appears on the Singapore-Shanghai route on 23 February and the other 777s will be progressively introduced between April and August.

The other routes that will use these 777s are from Singapore to: Beijing, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hong Kong and Chennai.
