Peter Legro, president and chief executive of European carrier Transavia, has been named chairman of the International Air Carrier Association (IACA) of Zaventem, Belgium. Legro, who succeeds Niki Lauda, president and chief executive of Lauda Air of Austria, has been vice-chairman and chairman of ACE, the European Community's Independent Carriers Association. Carlos Bravo, general manager of Spanair, is named vice-president. Both appointments are for a tenure of one year.
