Marie Ehrling, executive vice-president of the SAS Group and head of Scandinavian Airlines, has resigned. Ehrling says she has decided to leave because a reorganisation of the airline group had abolished her position. North-west Airlines has elected Robert Friedman to the company's board of directors. Friedman is a senior managing director of The Blackstone Group and works primarily in Blackstone's private equity group, which manages one of the largest private equity funds in the US. National Air Traffic Services, the part-privatised company responsible for UK air traffic control, has named David Richardson as its first commercial director. Richardson is with NATS on secondment from British Airways.
